A two-year residency inspired by Virginia Woolf's seminal work, A Room of One's Own, the ROO provides a space and comprehensive support to develop new works about women from history.
An exchange program that brings projects, from states where women's rights are under threat, to the Bechdel Project studios in NYC, with the goal to exchange ideas and amplify important voices.
Drawing its name from bell hooks', Feminism Is For Everybody, this Cooperative Cohort is an innovative initiative advancing solidarity economy practices in the arts. Cohort members contribute to a reciprocal model of resource sharing by exchanging volunteer support for access to creative space, while developing mission-aligned work in community with fellow artists.
